Megan, Anna, and I recently took advantage of a school holiday to venture to the Little India district of Singapore with fellow Peoria transplants Melanie, Hannah, Gabriella, and Isabella Hernandez.
Anna and Megan got to take their first subway ride to get there. Anna had been looking forward to riding the train, but decided she didn't like the crowds. (Singapore has an amazingly clean subway system. Partially because they don't allow food or drinks on the trains. I found this out the hard way when I tried to take my Starbucks on board!) 
We also ate Indian food, shopped, and visited some temples. And the girls all got Henna tattoos from this very talented lady. She paints these beautiful designs free hand and very quickly, too! (And can even fix them when your 6 year-old smudges hers!)
